Ibanez RGA42AHBKS Electric Guitar - Black Stained

Fans of Ibanez’s RG line will find the RGA42AH represents a high-performance workhorse instrument, with a touch of natural beauty thrown in for good measure. This take-no-prisoners shred machine features a meranti body with an arched ash top bolted to a maple Wizard III neck and matching headstock. Its 24-fret jatoba fingerboard is primed for fast licks and mind-altering string bends, thanks to its jumbo frets. Unleashing a diversified sonic palette is easy with the set of Quantum HH pickups installed. Moreover, the F106 fixed bridge provides reliable tuning stability and playing comfort for late-night gigs. Fusing maximum performance and show-stopping good looks, the RGA42AH stands ready to realize your musical prowess.

Incredibly fast Wizard III neck

One of Ibanez's fastest necks to date, the maple Wizard III neck on the RGA42AH provides players with a wide platform for all varieties of fleet-fingered fretboard action. This slim and super-comfortable neck lets you easily pull off lightning-fast runs, arpeggios, and hammer-ons while giving you the substance needed for fretting chords. Capping the neck is a 24-fret jatoba fingerboard loaded with jumbo-size frets, perfect for big note bends. From the first time you put your hands on the RGA42AH’s Wizard III neck, you'll know you've got a guitar built with performance in mind.

Multidimensional Quantum pickups

The Ibanez RGA42AH delivers maximum impact and power, thanks to a duo of Quantum pickups. The ceramic-fueled bridge and neck humbuckers are brilliant lead pickups: vibrant yet snarling with an enhanced midrange output when you push them. A 5-way lever pickup selector switch, along with master Volume and Tone controls, puts you in complete command of your sound with parallel and split-coil options that fit well with cleaner, bluesier genres. If you're after maximum tonal tenacity, then the RGA42AH will give your amplifier or modeler what it needs.

No-fuss rocking and maintenance

When it comes to rocking out, heavier genre-leaning guitarists appreciate the no-nonsense approach of the RGA42AH. Its F106 fixed bridge provides a solid, resonant base for natural sustain, courtesy of its string-through-body design. The individual saddles can be easily set to achieve your perfect setup, not to mention the rounded saddle profile promotes playing comfort. All of these elements culminate in a seamless, natural feeling performance experience. With the RGA42AH, you are free to chug away with your heaviest riffs in complete confidence.
