Ibanez S520AH-OBF Electric Guitar - Cosmic Blue Stained

The player-centric Ibanez S520AH marries the svelte, bladed S-series shape with the comfort of a Wizard III neck and the versatility of an Edge Zero II tremolo, creating an ultra-light shredding machine you won’t want to put down. A set of Quantum humbuckers offers a smooth, responsive tone with sufficient firepower to drive any amp to the edge of breakup and beyond. At the same time, a 5-way selector switch creates a range of tonal variations, combining the humbuckers in unique ways to facilitate creative experimentation. With its beautifully finished ash body, iconic S-series shape, and versatile features, the S520AH is ripe for any player seeking an ideal merger of practicality and performance.

A blend of celebrated designs

When you pick up an S520AH, you’ll understand its popularity within the guitar community. Combining playability and performance, the S520AH reinvigorates the iconic S shape, featuring bladed edges and an ultra-thin body that maintain a classic look while adding a sleek new feel. The aggressively thin profile sits close to the body, reducing shoulder strain with its negligible weight and offering a comfortable position for your picking hand. Sporting the beloved Wizard III neck, built from maple with a rosewood fretboard, the S520AH is a shredder’s paradise, embodying the playability and comfort that made Ibanez a household name.

Versatile high-output tone

At the heart of the S520AH are a pair of Quantum humbuckers, delivering high-output power with a warm character and pronounced midrange to keep your tone grounded. Connected to a 5-way selector switch, these versatile pickups unlock a range of coil combinations, allowing this metal-leaning axe to explore everything from delicate melodies to nuanced dynamics. But crank the volume, and the passive Quantum pickups unleash signature Ibanez bite — searing, articulate, and primed for high-gain clarity.

Stable tuning, zero compromise

Whether you're blazing through scalar runs or powering through a high-gain riff, the S520AH is primed to keep up. Plus, with its low-action, stable Edge Zero II tremolo system, you can dish out all the dive-bombs and warbling snarls you desire, without the tuning pitfalls that often accompany them. Additionally, the Edge Zero II’s lower profile improves playing comfort, making the already versatile design even more appealing.
